Information about Cards

Customizing your Cards

Did you find a card with a design you like, but you don’t like the text inside? (Sorry about that!). With Zazzle, everything is customizable, so you are not limited to the size options and text that we created.

To customize a card that you find, click on the blue “Edit Design” button below the Add to Cart button. This will open the Zazzle editor, where you can customize it to your heart’s content! You can swap our photos, change the text, and more!

If you look on the left-hand side, you should see a menu bar extending from the top to the bottom of the screen. Choose the Layers menu option. It will open up a panel where you can choose which parts of the card you want to edit.

Changing the Text inside Cards

Choose the Inside/Bottom Right Text & Images layer in the layer panel. You can then double-click on the text that you want to change and edit it in the box that pops up.

Changing the Sizes of Cards

Our cards are created at a standard 12.7 cm x 17.8 cm (that is, 5 in x 7 in) card size, but if you want to choose a different size, there are two other sizes available in a dropdown menu. Be sure to double-check that the images fit well (don’t forget to check the images inside the cards as well!)

Paper Options for Cards

There are two paper options: matte and semi-gloss. What is the difference? We have ordered both of them, and noticed that the semi-gloss has a much shinier appearance. The colours are bold, and the thick paper has a very professional appearance. It is harder to write on the inside with a pencil, but pen glides on nicely.

Matte paper looks like high-quality cardstock. It is thick and watercolour art looks especially nice on it.

If you aren’t sure what to choose, try one of each! We would personally recommend using matte paper for watercolours (especially art on a white background) and semi-gloss for cards with photographs.
